Q: I want to have Norris Hall Studio design my logo. What now?
A: First of all, "yay!" We're glad you're interested in having us design your logo! The next step is to either send us an email with your information, ideas, suggestions, and a good time for us to call to discuss your needs. Or, you can give us a call at 615-890-5510, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Central Time. We'd love to talk to you about your new logo. Once we design your new logo, we'll design and print your first 1000 business cards for free! Frankly, we do this to show you how beautiful your cards (and other products) will be if you choose us to do your printing. Which leads us to the next question...
Q: I want to have Norris Hall Studio design my marketing items (business cards, stationery, brochure, etc.) How do I get started?
A: We will do our best to make that as easy as possible for you. First, we'll decide what products you'd like to start with. For example, you may want a business card, letterhead with matching envelope and a brochure. We will design these items for you and send you some proposed designs to review via email. You can have us make any changes you need, and we'll make them and send the designs back for another review. You may decide after we submit a design, that you would like to see something completely different. That's OK, too!
The main thing is that we want you to love your new marketing items, and we'll do whatever we can to get you the design you're happy with.
Q: OK, so Norris has designed my stuff. How about getting it printed? And what kinds of things do you print?
A: We have the best, fastest, most high-quality printers in the business. We will gladly send you a sample pack of our printed products.
No set-up fees, design fees, or any other kind of fee is added onto our printed products. The price is the price. The one exception to this is the brochure. As with everything, we custom design your items specifically for you from the ground up, giving you a unique product. Due to the amount of time spent in the design phase of the brochure, we do add a one-time design fee that varies depending on the individual brochure. We do not charge this fee again when you reorder - even if you have changes.
Shipping is FREE in the continental US with ALL of our printed products.
No minimum order. We don't require a minimum quantity when you order printed products. But lower quantities may not be cost-effective. Orders of 1000 pieces and above are usually the best value.
Business Cards, Postcards & Rack Cards are printed on high-quality 14 pt. stock. Unless otherwise requested, they are full color on front and back with a high-gloss, UV coated finish. If you need to write on the back, we can do a flat finish for a good writing surface. Ask us about out special shapes for business cards and postcards to make your cards stand out in the crowd.
Letterhead and Envelopes are also full color and printed on 70 lb. opaque smooth white paper. Laser and inkjet guaranteed.
Brochures are offered in several different fold configurations. There's nothing wrong with the standard 8.5" x 11" tri-fold brochure, but we can do a bi-fold, "Z" fold, gate-fold, double-gate-fold, and many others. They can be 8.5" x 14", or 11" x 17". We also offer other sizes. So call us or email us. We can send an image showing the different folds we offer. They are printed on 100 lb gloss book paper, and we offer lots of other paper selections, too. We will also be glad to send an actual brochure we've done so you can see the quality in person.

Q: I need illustrations for my publication, website, T Shirt or other project. Where do I start, how long does it take, and how much does it cost?
A: One of the things we enjoy the most here at Norris Hall Studio is illustration.
Where do I start? Just send us an email or call us describing your project and asking any questions you may have. We will most likely have questions for you, too. Once we get an idea of your project and you decide if we are a good fit, Norris will start sending sketches and design concepts to you. Feel free to suggest any changes, additions, deletions you have and we'll send you a revised sketch. Once we have a sketch you like, then we will start on the finished, full color art. When the art is in this "finished" state, we'll send it to you for approval. At this point, it's still not too late to make changes. If you have any further changes (at this point it's usually color changes) we'll make them and send the finished art to you in whatever file format you need.
How long does it take? There is no definite, cut and dried answer to this question. It depends on many factors: How much work is in studio and ahead of your project, how large the project is (illustrating a children's book takes a lot more time than a spot illustration for a print ad), how many revisions are requested before we get to the final art, how long it takes for the client to get back to us once we send a revision, and many other factors. The best way to determine an approximate finish date is to call or email us.
How much does it cost? The answer to this question is about as difficult as the answer to the above question. Our prices range widely from $100 for a spot illustration, to thousands of dollars for a large project such as doing many complex illustrations for a children's picture book. Q: Speaking of websites, does Norris Hall Studio do websites?
A: We don't do websites because one of the best companies out there that does websites (especially for pediatric dentists) is SmileSavvy. They have been doing them for a very long time. They're easy to work with, too. We know that because we work with them all the time! We provide them with artwork we've designed for our clients in order to give them the best looking site possible. SmileSavvy will have something in your budget, too. Choose from many templates or have them work with us to give you a totally custom design.
Q: What are your signs made of?
A: Our signs are made from aluminum board. It has a black plastic core, covered front and back with a sheet of white coated aluminum. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. You have your choice of holes drilled in the corners, no holes, or a 3M Command Strip.
